if you really care or noticed.

If you are a regular reader of my blog or you've heard me talk about my blogging habits on the radio or in person. I apologize for not blogging enough to please you. But today I have gone through all my blogs that I loved on bloggers website waiting to be posted, finished them up and posted them for you. So kindly, I say this jokingly quit complaining about the frequency of my blogging. I consider myself somewhat of a home body, that's both good and bad. I also don't consider myself a party animal, where my going with this you ask?

I don't know all I'll go out of my life so spread out among the rest of the world so some might say right now I am a little boring to read about, but I'll change that for you at some point and you won't even know it ha ha! I will fess up though trying to figure out what to say how to say it and how much to say it is a little bit of a strain for me, this makes blogging a bit a bit to tasking to want to take a few minutes worn armor my day to say something. oh one more confession my dragon naturallyspeaking arrived yesterday afternoon, in the male it is my intention to improve my blogging frequency to make you come back for more.

World Of War Craft sore!

As I have mentioned to several of you know, those of you who read my blog or I have talked to on the air or in person. This past August I purchased and started playing WOW. I was immediately hooked when my nephew introduced they came to me. It was slow going at first as far as learning how to play and staying interested in it.

But over the weekend starting around 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon all the way through Saturday 4:30 a.m. and on Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m. I started playing once again and did not stop playing for the day and tell shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday. I did stop to eat and other bodily actions! And Yet again I found myself on Monday morning at 8:45 a.m. playing the game again this time I only stopped to do a few miscellaneous things, like make coffee each and some other bodily functions ha ha! By that afternoon my nephew had come by to pay with me.By bedtime 2 a.m. my whole body ached, but I had a blast.

For a guy for a guy that always had a horrible time physically and other aspects playing video games I got more game time from Friday to early Tuesday morning than I ever have in all of the games I've played in a number years. Now I am starting to level up in the game it is really starting to get fun for me. Throughout the weekend I had a goal to make it to level 30 before the weekend was out, I did that but my body is very sore even today.

In addition to learning about world of war craft I have discovered two other games that don't have anything to do with controllers. One game is called Star craft, this is another game that I have found myself extremely hooked on. The other one is eveonline. I am a little hooked on it already and I really haven't had a chance to play it yet. It turns out that a mouse and a keyboard make good enough controllers for me to play some of the really cool games; out today. With all the gaming I've been doing lately I have discovered that Star craft is a great outlet for me to stay sober as well as work out some anger issues I may have on any given day. I seem to have found an inexpensive way for therapy treatment without actually having to pay a person $500,000 an hour to cry on their shoulder ha ha.

Merry Christmas!

Mary Christmas from me and mine to you and yours. May your Christmas tree will be full, tall, loaded with decorations, light, and of course in this house a Christmas tree must be a real!!! No matter how long I live, there will never be a fake tree under my roof. In my mind it's just not Christmas without a real tree under the roof, and yes I know a fake free is convenient and not so messy but it's just not Christmas was a real Christmas tree.

Oh yeah and don't forget, eat drink, and be merry while you spread a little love around this holiday season. 73! kd7eyp

Two weeks today!

By the looks of my calendar it has been exactly 2 weeks to the day since I've poured out my last two beers physically I'm fine. Surprisingly I do not have any of the symptoms of what they call detoxing and I still have no urge or desperation to go to an AA meeting but like I said it's been two weeks. We'll see how it goes, but right now I feel really good. AA meetings are a great resource for recovery I am not leaving now as an option, and will not deny it in the future.

On a lighter note I can tell you and the last two weeks I have gone through a few pounds of Folgers coffee, a few cases of Dr Pepper, and a few cans of 7-Up. In addition I find myself snacking a little more than usual. Those who know me know that being hungry has never been an issue with me ha ha! In that regard grocery bills are an issue in this household, says my ha ha!

Our household salutes ABC's Mr. Gibson!!!

Our household salutes Mr. Charlie Gibson or as my mom likes to call him "Charlie". Congratulations Mr. Gibson on 30 fabulous years of great professional, kindhearted journalism, for almost as long as I've been alive. My mother all throughout my childhood has ingrained many of the previous ABC news faces and voices in my head. and now you are yet another one of those. Your voice, face, humorous personality, and firm yet kind professional journalism will be greatly missed. it will be very strange not to hear your voice coming out of the TV in the background, but they say change is good for the soul. I wish you all the best and happiness as you enjoy life.

Finally, shortly after your final evening in the anchor chair, just moments ago mom and I shed a joyful tear or two; in celebration of course not in sadness. I must insist and I believe my mother would agree. Throughout your retirement you must stay happy, healthy, busy but not to busy ha ha. Retirement would be boring without any of those carried out, in my opinion. Happy holidays from our household to yours. I salute you again "Sir Charlie"

what a week this has been!

What a week this has been for me. Currently looking at my calendar and I have noticed that my drinking has slowed down, can't say that I completely feel physically better but I can gladly say that the one major side effect of the drinking as nearly stopped. That is what they call acid reflux disease, I have been battling this problem since the summer of 2005. This was a major reason for the decision to slow down the drinking and now that a few days or a week or two, I think has gone by I am now looking at this current week and past weekend and can report good news on many fronts.

first of all the start of the good news begins on this past Saturday, December 6 at 2:30 p.m. Why that time because that is when I got fed up with the acid reflux disease problem and stood up stomped over to the refrigerator to grab a bottle of Maalox, and downed three to four mouthfuls of it. Angry that I had to do this, on many occasions I would say almost daily.Waiting nearly an hour for the acid reflux to settle down I went over to the other refrigerator, grab my last two beers and then stomped to the kitchen sink to open and pour out the last two beers I ever hope to drink in my life. So my sobriety date is December 6, 2009 and it will stay that way, I guarantee you! Tomorrow the 12th. will be a week of sobriety for me so far.

The next piece of good news is that finals week began December 7 and after a after a little more effort than I anticipated, and began to believe I was ready for the final that I take this week. And I took a quiz this week as well. The quiz was on the 8th and the one final I had was the next day Wednesday. I felt I did good on that final but I will say I should have done much better than I feel I did. That was only one class I had this quarter. The other class didn't and now as well that I wanted, but all is not lost I will get results that I will be happy with in that class soon. Long story short there is nothing wrong with a C and an I now and then.

To conclude on the medical front my back is no longer in pain and I am thrilled. What started that whole ordeal me going my lower back muscles out of whack again , and then the cyst doing what it did. And like I may have mentioned, on the seventh my stitches had a chance to come out this week. So I now have no severe medical issues to worry about as of today. I am now doing some investigating in what I can do physically to take better care of myself.

I am not calling this a new years resolution because when most people do things like that they break them before Valentine's Day, almost every time. this is just a guy who is sick and tired of being sick and tired, exhausted, and having to deal with acid reflux disease. PS I'm not going to become a bodybuilder or a professional wrestler, and definitely not a health fanatic. After all I am still a lover of food and they do say everything in moderation right?

Slacker radio!

I have discovered slacker radio online. This blows xm radio and serious, live 365 , and in my opinion most of the rest of Internet radio out there today. As far as audio quality, the cost, a customization that one can do. You just log on tell the site which you want to hear and you hear it. It's that simple, so far the free version is working out fine.

If you wanted the higher paid version because there are too paid versions, the cost would still be cheaper than XM/serious is and again a lot better audio quality. It appears that dropping the XM online radio account, at $156 a year will pay for my two six months subscriptions to world of war craft. I can definitely deal with that, if I wanted to pay for the slacker account that is still cheaper than the XM online account. I cannot say enough slacker radio online has superb audio, is customizable to one's taste much more than the rest of them appear to be.

Oops my bab!

Well that was completely unlike me, I did not go to the doctor today. The reason why is because by Saturday afternoon high was supposed to have called to schedule a ride to the doctor. but goof ball me didn't do that so I'm getting on the phone to reschedule my appointment. It's my own fault so I'll have a stitches to deal with for a little while longer.

The good news is, there is no more pain to deal with. oh maybe there is a little bit of pain hanging in there of the longer. But things are certainly better now and some of my brain cells by. When this whole ordeal started I was down in three to five pills, pain pills that is a day and now currently I am down to one or two a day and I'm very happy about that. Eeven though I messed up and have to wait a little while longer for the stitches to come out. That day will be December 7.

Back at it!

I went back to school this week and did very well, with little help from the big white pills in my pocket ha ha! It turns out I didn't have a whole lot to worry about with. I have a little little work to make a pen still a good chance to pass both classes, so I'm happy and we'll see what happens with the final results in the coming weeks. I just might make it to this term after all.

it's time for some changes in myself and my life.

It's time for some changes in myself, I want to slow down my drinking as of now. That is today I am determined to do this for a variety of reasons. I could list tons of reasons why I should slow down my drinking or maybe even stop completely, for a second time.

But the main one is I'm sick of filling so exhausted along with turning my back several times a year and just being out of shape in general. Tapering off the alcohol slowly most likely won't change if all the above immediately but I can tell you the alcohol does contribute to all of this. I would be a fool in saying that does not have little effects on many aspects of how I take care of myself.

So since this recent back problem has been a major ordeal and my live, but drinking has to be addressed. So I'm going to give this slowing down a lot of thought and go for it. In addition with all the pain medicine I've been on lately, slowing down the drinking won't be a big deal I have done this four or five times over the years. So here goes next week is it. I'm not doing it.

All most done!

Well apparently the worst of this is almost over, today was the day that the doctor and I agreed to get this cyst out. And to my, while doing that didn't hurt as much as getting the pain medicine, to keep from feeling him cutting on me did. I believe I needed about seven to eight shots of the pain medicine to keep from filling up cutting of my skin. The whole time I was worried about filling the cutting and what hurt the most was the needle.

It was also a real trip to hear the snip snip of the scissors while he was cutting on me and feeling a little tugging. now all I have to deal with is having a few stitches for a little while, not a big deal I just can't shower like the way I usually do. This could prove to be a very interesting challenge, having to shower with a garbage bag taped to me. Don't worry I'll leave all the visuals to your imagination and leave out all those details :-)

I am scheduled for the 23rd of this month to get the stitches out, and at that point in this ordeal will be over with. I believe at this point I have missed two full weeks of school that's not good in my brain but I can make it up.

Monday, November 2, 2009

Not done yet.

well dang it I thought this would be the day to get this thing cut out, and sent home with a few stitches to deal with . It seems that I am still leaking :-).

The doctor apparently says it's not time to get rid of this thing So the doctor doubled up the dosage of the antibiotics for a few more days and I have to go back again for another follow. I guess things are still a little ugly back there . The little indecision that is probably no longer than an inch long still needs to be packed with bandages. That process is takes about a half an hour for mom to do, and it hurts like hell. This needs to be done about every day, I guess things could be worse but it still hurts like hell. I have to go back for a follow up on the ninth and maybe I will be able to have it cut out.

I am still a little loopy from the medicine, so needless to say at this point I am very worried about school but I will say everybody involved with that is being very understanding through all this I suppose I'll catch up and make up things to be made up.

At this point I'm sick of this thing, sick of being stoned out of my mind, not being able to have a beer and finally missing all the school and yes I know things could be worse but I have not been in the best of moods because of this. After this is over and done with it's time for some changes in how I fee land what I do physically, to take care of myself.

Thursday, October 29, 2009

Well I did it again.

Here I go again, I hurt my back for the third time I believe this year. I just can't keep from hurting myself every time I turn around. Getting old is turning out to be a real pain lol. So off to the doctor I went yesterday to talk about my back pain. I made this appointment about a month ago, three weeks ago I think. Meanwhile while waiting for this day to come just to deal with my back I had another problem rear its ugly head and I mean that literally.

So I had two reasons to go see the doctor yesterday, and the second was worse than the first. I don't wish the second one on anybody. I am choosing to leave out a lot of gross glory details not only for your benefit but mine as well. About three to four days before this scheduled appointment I had, a cyst wanted to aggravate me or I should say make me very uncomfortable. I have had this minor small cysts in the middle of my back for better then 10 years. This hasn't been a bother for more than two or three years but he had right in the middle of school just before midterms I had had this thing dealt with.

Turns out it looked worse than it felt before the doctrine that all of the. Doctors are supposed to make you feel better, but the first part of this issue; the cyst that is was a very painful. Believe it or not the doctor cutting it open first and didn't hurt all that much, but the part that hurts the most was when he was trying to drain.

Now that I'm home I'm not having a good day, even though I am on a lot of pain medication :-) I just know that in my mind will not be able to stay together enough to go to school. And that really sucks because this is the week of midterms. Later today I'm going to have to have my mother do some medical crap to me and that will be very uncomfortable, but I must admit home care via mom is better then county hospital care in most cases :-). Oh goody, not, time for a pain pill.

Break time is over.

Well it looks like my play time is over, the next school quarter starts this week. So off I go again. This time around I have tougher classes and as most of you know by now when that happens I tend to disappear from all social circles from time to time :-)

This one is a 10 week run which does not mean that easier yet it does take a little stress off me when I have tough classes. I am determined to get the work done and get those credits added a, I don't have many more to go.

Let's see here is my schedule, Tuesdays and Thursdays. This one could work out very well, not to mention I love having Fridays off. Tuesday will be a long one for me, first class starts at 8 a.m. and the last class stops at 4 p.m. I really hate days like that, but a man's got to do what a man's got to do get the job done right? Thursday on the other hand is a half day.

Sadly I must say this is all bookwork, meaning a crap load of reading for me and we all know how much fun textbooks can be to read :-) So off to hibernate I go, as someone put it. Meaning when I have quarters like this I don't have time to play on the computer or radio. In I'll keep you informed throughout this quarter, but some of you know my blogging habits :-)

My last week of the summer.

Well as of 4:30 Pm tomorrow summer school will be over for me, so one term down and only three more terms to go. Also for some weeks now, to fill up some time I've been doing a lot of prep work for the fall and winter terms. This effort should make my last school year a little less buggy. I am really jazzed about the future, mainly because 2009/2010 WILL BE my Final year. So onward I shell go.

Jury Duty

Well I have too report for Jury Duty this week, for the first time since moving here. I'm not thrilled, but we shell see how it goes. I'm not against serving jury duty completely but I can think of happier things to do. It is useless too try getting out of it, I'll be found and forest too serve at some point in time.

Back to normal two.

As of six pm this evening My replacement backup hard drive is working great, with the new firewire 400 doing the job.

With the firewire upgrade all of the backup times are now completed in half the time. It has been a month and a week when I last had current backups. Not having backups freaks me out. I'm now thrilled that I can fix my PC on my own, software speaking that is.

In fact not only can windows be restored, but all of my documents and all 57 GBs of my mp3s can be as well, with or without a backup program. Having backup software is very good these days. With this as an option I have things all well in a little over three hours.

Having two backup plans is a good idea, but for years I always was horified of doing a fresh instail of windows and all the applacations, along with my data. Last Januarry I had a hard drive fail and had to start from scratch because I couldn't use my backup files. After a little nail biteing, it took a full week too fix evrything. So with a little work the last couple of days I now am ready and willing too do this once again, when I need too, and I'm shure I can do it all in just two days.

Thursday, August 20, 2009

Back to normal.

For some time now I have been having a problem with my external USB backup hard drive. I really get nervous when my backup are not up to date. One day last week I was enlightened of the fact that the drive failed resonantly, that may be why it's been a little buggy lately.

So today is the day, that I got the replacement drive. later tonight all have new backups, and they wonted take five hours, because I now have a Firewire card. whether or not the card is 400 or 800 wont fatter, as long as the backup time is cut in half.

It's too hot again today!!

Hey who turned up the heat?

One week of bad heat was just find for me, when it got up and over 100 degrees some time back, but for the last two days it's been over ninety degrees now. Being hot really sucks man, so too those weather nuts I say turn down the heat. Bring on the fall weather.

Moving news Update.

Like I said before, things change daily a round here, when it comes too keeping up with what my family is planning. I was told a little while ago the moving plan has changed.

The coming home will be the 14th. My mom and sister are very happy. And it sounds like things are working out for the kids, as mom calls them. They have a place too live and jobs waiting for them. Not bad for not even being home yet, I would say. most people don't get that lucky so soon, when it comes to moving from out of state too another.

Monday, August 3, 2009

Moving news.

So mom told me this past weekend that "the kids are coming home", by the 25th of this month. that is my niece, her husband, and there two and a half year old daughter, are moving back here from California. I guess It's getting a bit rough to live down there these days. This is understandable when the nashinal news, for some time now that the state is nearly broke.

So it's Oregon too the rescue for another California family once again, ha ha!!! All of the family that lives are thrilled, me I'm mentally getting ready for the craziness of more people around this very small house, and noise of a nearly three year old LOL.

To Be Continued... Things change daily a round here, when it comes too keeping up with what my family is planning.

Still at it!!!

Yet another eight or ten hours in the game world got me again. There is so much to this game that makes it fun, it would take way to long too tell you why. The big ones are that there is no real villance, gory, sleazy crap at all. Everything is really make be leave, and I would say after four days I'm hooked. Come see how much fun you'll have for your self. World Of WarCraft

Looking at my clock and calendar, I have class today at 2:00 PM. It's time for a bit of a nap. And yes my home work is done.

Tuesday, July 21, 2009

Will this ever stop?

Well I think it's been about ten or eleven hours now, when I started playing world of warcraft for the day. This game is a real blast, but I do have too sleep some time.

This game could become a problem, but I have too find some way too stay out of the bars and jail. Hey it's still saver than sex and drugs these days.

World Of Warcraft

After the three of us returned home from my sisters house last night I sat down with my nephew, at the computer too watch him play World Of Warcraft. It seems that this is the game too play these days. After an hour or so of watching him do his thing, he had me intrigued.

So off too my computer I went, too try it for myself. It didn't take long too have me up and running. At some point I notests it was four in the AM. This game is not one can play for five minutes and stop, this is going too be a blast and I'm not known for being a gamer guy at all.

Out with the fam.

About two weeks ago my mom and older sister made plans too spend a Saturday afternoon together, just the girls. For some reason us three guys me, dad, and my nephew ended up tagging along. Sis had no idea that she'd have a house full ha ha!!

My sis and her roommate where great hosts, the sis keeping the snacks coming, and her roommate enlightened me on what a longshoreman is and does..

At some point the roommate brought out a photo album of all the remodeling she did too her house, and told us all the stories of each and every picture.

A good time was had by all, and with my sister being food hostess I didn't need dinner later that night.

Plan C is off and running!!!!

After yet another meeting, the plan that I talked about before is now and has been in action for a few weeks now. It's looking like this summer term is going to be not so bad. Contrarily too someones comment about me spending all of my time on my CB radio, although I will fess up too spending a little to much time glabbing on two meters, I do have plenty of school related things to do, even with just taking one class for the summer.

How ever the up and coming full and winter terms are going to be real rough. I may end up having to take three classes in the full, but who ever said life was nice. HA HA AH

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

My math credits.

after class today I saw that fall preview of classes is out now, so it looks like no math class for me until winter term of 2010. Don't worry I have seval years of good math notes too pick at for a while. The two math classes are very intensive, so that means a hole lot of self study time over the next 6 months.

I was told today as well that the first year manufacturing and or CAD/CAM classes fill up fast. I have an idea about the first two classes I need, but not a clue about the other two. So on Monday I'm off too another meeting. lol

Monday, June 1, 2009

Plan C!!!!

As of news of the closer, all students need only 90 credit hours to graduate, not the past 96. With that said, and a little careful math over the week end on my part. At the end of the day, of June 10th., plan C could layout like this for me.

the credits I will have are 68
I need 13 CAD related credits from manufacturing and or CAD/CAM side of things.
I aso need 6 credits of the need math.
and finely 4 credits of an elective like a history class.

If my math is right, and I complete 4 credits for the class I'm in right now I will soon have my 90 credits.

Thursday, May 28, 2009

I'm on cloud nine now!!!!

So here is the story today about my AAS degree in mechanical drafting. I stopped by my advisers off earlier today too see if I could get the final word on plan c.

And that is PLAN C IS A GO! so I have been on cloud nine since 12:30 PM Thursday afternoon. Like I said before My adviser had to have another meeting with the dean of the drafting department again, too talk about plan C.

It turns out that this conversation was not just between the two said guys, this was truly a group effort. Another department chair, and one of the schools counselors plaid a part in making this all happen.

Too those four people I say that I am truly grateful for all of you efforts through out these two months.

CAD/CAM Meeting aka meeting #4

Back in late march the manufacturing department chair guy had a short chat about a CAM/CAM class or two as an option , as I said earlier. A later while at the May 7th meeting he and I had a chance to chat again. That conversation was about my safety concerns of me being in the machine shop. This had to be talked about because since birth I've had Cerebral Palsy. although I am to walk farly good doing it with out my forarm crutches, I still need the wheel chair a little bit. Also one of the side effects, I guess you can call it that Of the Cerebral Palsy for me is pure balance.

So todays meeting I got some good information about the CAD/CAM degree and it was agreed that I could make through under or about half way through these program requiarments with some mynore phsyical accomidations. But to make it to the end would in deed take some big work arounds in the shop side of things.

At no point did I feel any bad vibes from our conversation, meening I was not being told that I try this in the least. I would love to have a full understanding of what some one in the shop is thinking or doing when a set of my drawings were in there hand, yet I would feel a hole lot better if the papers didn't read "man dies do to machine shop tool assemilation" lol.

Before we rapped it up the guy said not worie to much and the new plan should go through fine. I did feel some good vibes at the end of yet another meeting. So I lay in waiting for two more days.

Meeting #3?

Well let see I think today's meeting was number three. when my adviser and I met today plan c was still a little fogy. So between the two of us, did some more class comparing from both schools and we checked our math over and over again, yet my adviser needed input a third person because at this point my degree was coming down to four or five CAD class substations from the CAD/CAM degree.

With some help from the CAD/CAM head guy, we were close to being right. by the end of the brain storming plan c was beat to death and a strong possibility of a go ahead. So next week my adviser's off too meet the department dean again.

Today I am very grateful for all efforts, but still a bit worried. And so it seems more waiting is in store for me.

Before I left the campus today I stopped by the manufacturing department office to setup a time next to sit down with that department chair aka the same guy that joined the chat earlier in the day, to see about the CAD/CAM degree.

I did this because I can't get the idea out of my head that there was a chance my goal of a degree in drafting, was slipping away. CAD/CAM is not the way I'd like to go, but I'm still checking out my options.

All and all, all is not lost. By the end of next week plan C should a go.

Made A Phone Call

After being a shored that I would hair some news of the credit review by an e-mail with in this week, and not knowing that was a problem with getting my school e-mail on my end, by 3:00 pm today, I picked up the phone to try getting some news out of somebody.

I had the contact info. of the person doing the review and just minutes after I left a voice mail, my phone rang. With in a minute conversation I learned three things.

1. My transcripts will soon be in the hands of my adviser.
2. The dean of the drafting department and my adviser had to talk about me.
3. And to my delight I don't have to take the CCC writing class, my PCC writing class will take its place.

I am happy to heir all this news and this next meeting should happen this coming week. So I have more waiting to do.

Today's Meeting

Well the short story is!! After forty minuses of Q & A from myself and the students I be leave most of us had good news to report. In my case after the meeting I had mixed feelings because I went too the meeting thanking it was more than it turned out be.

When It was my turn for a chat I was hopping to work out and finalize plan C today. But after that chat was done plan C can't move ahead yet. Because It turns out when I came to CCC to start plan B in 2007 and CCC had my PCC credits on file, an afishal review of said records was done that time.

I was not to heir this after over two years of taking classes. All is not so lost though, two people from the school said the review would be done and something will be known in a week

ITunes Glich

I had to reformat my hard a few weeks ago, and for the most part it went well. After doing this for the first time on own I thought everything was fine. Nope that's not so. A problem with ITunes was one of the reasons for the reformat. When I begin using Itunes in early 2005 I started with version 6 for windows, and It worked just fine. But as soon as I upgrated too version 7, and now 8 I've had the same glich.

When I start any song and let ITunes play next one it starts the song, but it skips for about 2to 5 seconds like a scrached CD would do. The is a radom glich becouse seval tracks will have played before the skipping starts again. This does not happen on my IPod at all. I guess only some cases a reformat SHOULD FIX EVERYTHING.

I am a little disapointed that the problem is still bugging me, but still like ITunes for all the cool stuff it can do. I guess I can put up with ONE glich, knowing that I'm not crazy enough to through away $250 IPod and $400 wirth of music.

A thought came to me

I should hang on for one more week, but I just can't swallow loosing my degree and throwing away two years plus.

This morning while at school a thought came to me about what to do with the remaining 30 credits I need for my degree. "Go down the hall to talk to one machine shop guys". Because the CAM classes aren't going away.

After meeting for a few minutes I was told there is good chance that a solution could be worked out, and after the meeting next week I was welcome to come back and work on what is now plan C.
All is not lots a degree is still in sight, unselfishly till next week any way.

Bie Bie C C C Drafting Departmet #2

As you can guess since late March my mined has spinning with all kinds of ideas about what to do after this coming late June. Nothing is clear cut, and 4:00pm May 7th wont come any faster.

I can say based on what I already know, my list of options is short. For some time now other schools have made cuts, and as for drafting degree Clackamas Community College was it around here.

Bie Bie C C C Drafting Departmet.

as of some time In Febuary Clackamas Community College announced that there will be more cuts at the end of summer term. After June 30th the drafting department will be no more.

I didn't learn this until my first day of this term. needless to say myself and the other students are not happy. For those of us that are close to the end of are degree, we have been told that we will have a degree in hand at some point. In my case I only have about under 30 credits remaining.

Two weeks from today there will be a meeting with lots of people from the school and other schools that are trying to help us in where to go from here. I'll keep you informed as to what ever plan them and I come up with.

School update #2.

For years I have been saying that me working from home is a BAD idea because.

1. There is to many distractions, like my ham radios are near the computer.
2. I have a lot of programs on the hard drive to play with, that have nothing to do with CAD.
3. I like leaving the house, having a places to go. Even if I end up back in side for a few hours.

It turns that the idea of working at home on my CAD class work, was good after all. I think I've made great progress so far, and I'll be ready to head back to school soon.

After all I did have this computer built to do CAD work, and not just as a play toy!!!

Broken phone headset.

For years I've hated having to hold a phone up to my ear, so Christmas of 2005 momma bought the Panasonic KX-TCA60 Headset for me. I Love it, I never want to hold another phone again. But for some time now it has been cutting in and out a lot. Okay not a big deal. I don't talk on the phone this past Friday night I picked it up to answer the phone and the all plastic headset snapped in two places, so in the trash it went. Don't they build non disposable any more?

for now I'm using mommas AT&T headset, and it's comefee, looks like I owe her a new one. Now if my Logitech Premium Notebook Headset, I have for the computer could work on phones I'd be happy, this thing's pretty stout.

TA truck stop visit.

My uncle, long haul truck driver was coming through town, this past weekend and my dad asked if I'd like to go with to the TA truck stop for a wile. Growing up I loved checking out those big trucks. As dad and I were coming up to the truck stop, while still on the freeway I just how big it had grown. It's been some years when I stop there. There were trucks of all kinds of course. My uncle said later that they may have tripled it by now.

I didn't think about it until dad asked later, I had fun? I Guess I did because seeing all these trucks lined up made me feel like a little kid a little bit, and remembering a few trips in a truck or two with dad. Even today as an adult I can tel you model of truck is what and most of the time can tel you what decade the truck in, as well on accation give you a year of a truck.

website updates and edits.

After trying out a lot color schemes I have nailed it down to six different looks and two different CCS layouts. At this point time I see no point in digging much more into HTML code, using simple HTML code at this stage of my website designing evolution. Now it's time to have loads of fun with css. Wish me luck, I hate having to code so IE is happy.

A ham for ten more years.

back in November 2008 I started hearing a few hams talk about their license renewal. that made me thank of how hard it was to navigate around on the FCC website. Over the years I've helped only three hams with their license stuff. Remembering those three times I hated having to do my own license renewal. to my surprise in January this year I get an envelope in the mail with a small card and a same size return envelope in it. All I had to do is mark in a check box and fill out the return envelope.

And I guess the updated paper form of my license came to me at some point, I have no idea when that was. Today it was time to peal February off the calendar, while doing this I saw that my renewal's coming up soon. At time I was wondering why I had not seen mail from the FCC. After a few minutes had past I was moving some books around and there it was, one up dated ham radio license in an unopened envelope.

So here's to ten years in the Amateur Radio world, there will be ten more

Go Steelers, enough said!!

Bye bye new refrigerator.

This past week are twelve year kitchen refrigerator has started showing its age, so the family says to for the swap. At this point today's the day. This should be worth a big laugh to watch from the side lines, knowing my families history of laying out a plan and having to change in mid stream.

School Update/Vacation

Well as far as school goes I decided it's break time. In mid December of 2008 I had been at this college bit for a long time and I was getting tired. Also the task of education has never come me in a good form, so for some months the grades have slipped a tad. I knew back in January of 2007 that doing the second years classes in side one year was not happening. and with a setback or two in that time, I have decided that I'll be done when I'm done.

It's been a little over now when this past fall term let out and in that time I've had a major computer failure and now after three weeks all is well. My plan of doing the CAD work for three classes at home well soon burn some rubber.

My First Real Concert.

Last July 4th. my momma and older sister talked me into looking online for Neil Diamond tickets. Since Neil is and has been as long as I have been alive her favorite singer on the planet, The tickets had to be in her hands. Momma wonted me to go with her, but I couldn't with out a guilty consensus get tickets with out one more for my sister, who is nuts about Neil as momma. So a little a week later the tickets were in mommas hands. From July through September momma and my sister were so jazzed that he was coming to Portland, they would say things like "we're going too see Neil Diamond", "he's coming", or when a Neil song would in ear shot "pretty soon".

The concert was set to be on September 22, 2007 at the Rose Garden, so when we were told that the date was postponed to January 8, 2009 we were more than bummed out. When yesterday came around in the car we were and on the way we were. While on the way Mom said she had checked Neil's tour schedule and saw that he was in two cities where we lived before and now he's here in Portland. This convinced her that Neil was trying to fine her.

There were many high lights of the concert for us, first Neil's voice was still phenomenal, that all the ladies their loved. Second the three of us had really good seats. Third I loved the lighting displays. Another high light for me was seeing momma so happy doing something she's wanted to do before she leaves the earth as long as I've been alive.

Happy New Year

Happy new year to the world and I hope you weren't along on this accusation. This year I was with Elden and end up staying for four days. And this accusation came with a few beers. great music, not so bad grub from a bachelor.

For some time now Elden and I have been seekers of fine and yet cost affective meals, so Elden treated me once again. If you fine your self in Albany, OR you have to go to The Original Breakfast restaurant and order the Chile Verde Omelet, I was very happy and stuffed. I think I'll leave out the details, you will have to taste for your self.
