if you really care or noticed.

If you are a regular reader of my blog or you've heard me talk about my blogging habits on the radio or in person. I apologize for not blogging enough to please you. But today I have gone through all my blogs that I loved on bloggers website waiting to be posted, finished them up and posted them for you. So kindly, I say this jokingly quit complaining about the frequency of my blogging. I consider myself somewhat of a home body, that's both good and bad. I also don't consider myself a party animal, where my going with this you ask?

I don't know all I'll go out of my life so spread out among the rest of the world so some might say right now I am a little boring to read about, but I'll change that for you at some point and you won't even know it ha ha! I will fess up though trying to figure out what to say how to say it and how much to say it is a little bit of a strain for me, this makes blogging a bit a bit to tasking to want to take a few minutes worn armor my day to say something. oh one more confession my dragon naturallyspeaking arrived yesterday afternoon, in the male it is my intention to improve my blogging frequency to make you come back for more.

World Of War Craft sore!

As I have mentioned to several of you know, those of you who read my blog or I have talked to on the air or in person. This past August I purchased and started playing WOW. I was immediately hooked when my nephew introduced they came to me. It was slow going at first as far as learning how to play and staying interested in it.

But over the weekend starting around 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon all the way through Saturday 4:30 a.m. and on Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m. I started playing once again and did not stop playing for the day and tell shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday. I did stop to eat and other bodily actions! And Yet again I found myself on Monday morning at 8:45 a.m. playing the game again this time I only stopped to do a few miscellaneous things, like make coffee each and some other bodily functions ha ha! By that afternoon my nephew had come by to pay with me.By bedtime 2 a.m. my whole body ached, but I had a blast.

For a guy for a guy that always had a horrible time physically and other aspects playing video games I got more game time from Friday to early Tuesday morning than I ever have in all of the games I've played in a number years. Now I am starting to level up in the game it is really starting to get fun for me. Throughout the weekend I had a goal to make it to level 30 before the weekend was out, I did that but my body is very sore even today.

In addition to learning about world of war craft I have discovered two other games that don't have anything to do with controllers. One game is called Star craft, this is another game that I have found myself extremely hooked on. The other one is eveonline. I am a little hooked on it already and I really haven't had a chance to play it yet. It turns out that a mouse and a keyboard make good enough controllers for me to play some of the really cool games; out today. With all the gaming I've been doing lately I have discovered that Star craft is a great outlet for me to stay sober as well as work out some anger issues I may have on any given day. I seem to have found an inexpensive way for therapy treatment without actually having to pay a person $500,000 an hour to cry on their shoulder ha ha.

Merry Christmas!

Mary Christmas from me and mine to you and yours. May your Christmas tree will be full, tall, loaded with decorations, light, and of course in this house a Christmas tree must be a real!!! No matter how long I live, there will never be a fake tree under my roof. In my mind it's just not Christmas without a real tree under the roof, and yes I know a fake free is convenient and not so messy but it's just not Christmas was a real Christmas tree.

Oh yeah and don't forget, eat drink, and be merry while you spread a little love around this holiday season. 73! kd7eyp

Two weeks today!

By the looks of my calendar it has been exactly 2 weeks to the day since I've poured out my last two beers physically I'm fine. Surprisingly I do not have any of the symptoms of what they call detoxing and I still have no urge or desperation to go to an AA meeting but like I said it's been two weeks. We'll see how it goes, but right now I feel really good. AA meetings are a great resource for recovery I am not leaving now as an option, and will not deny it in the future.

On a lighter note I can tell you and the last two weeks I have gone through a few pounds of Folgers coffee, a few cases of Dr Pepper, and a few cans of 7-Up. In addition I find myself snacking a little more than usual. Those who know me know that being hungry has never been an issue with me ha ha! In that regard grocery bills are an issue in this household, says my ha ha!

Our household salutes ABC's Mr. Gibson!!!

Our household salutes Mr. Charlie Gibson or as my mom likes to call him "Charlie". Congratulations Mr. Gibson on 30 fabulous years of great professional, kindhearted journalism, for almost as long as I've been alive. My mother all throughout my childhood has ingrained many of the previous ABC news faces and voices in my head. and now you are yet another one of those. Your voice, face, humorous personality, and firm yet kind professional journalism will be greatly missed. it will be very strange not to hear your voice coming out of the TV in the background, but they say change is good for the soul. I wish you all the best and happiness as you enjoy life.

Finally, shortly after your final evening in the anchor chair, just moments ago mom and I shed a joyful tear or two; in celebration of course not in sadness. I must insist and I believe my mother would agree. Throughout your retirement you must stay happy, healthy, busy but not to busy ha ha. Retirement would be boring without any of those carried out, in my opinion. Happy holidays from our household to yours. I salute you again "Sir Charlie"

what a week this has been!

What a week this has been for me. Currently looking at my calendar and I have noticed that my drinking has slowed down, can't say that I completely feel physically better but I can gladly say that the one major side effect of the drinking as nearly stopped. That is what they call acid reflux disease, I have been battling this problem since the summer of 2005. This was a major reason for the decision to slow down the drinking and now that a few days or a week or two, I think has gone by I am now looking at this current week and past weekend and can report good news on many fronts.

first of all the start of the good news begins on this past Saturday, December 6 at 2:30 p.m. Why that time because that is when I got fed up with the acid reflux disease problem and stood up stomped over to the refrigerator to grab a bottle of Maalox, and downed three to four mouthfuls of it. Angry that I had to do this, on many occasions I would say almost daily.Waiting nearly an hour for the acid reflux to settle down I went over to the other refrigerator, grab my last two beers and then stomped to the kitchen sink to open and pour out the last two beers I ever hope to drink in my life. So my sobriety date is December 6, 2009 and it will stay that way, I guarantee you! Tomorrow the 12th. will be a week of sobriety for me so far.

The next piece of good news is that finals week began December 7 and after a after a little more effort than I anticipated, and began to believe I was ready for the final that I take this week. And I took a quiz this week as well. The quiz was on the 8th and the one final I had was the next day Wednesday. I felt I did good on that final but I will say I should have done much better than I feel I did. That was only one class I had this quarter. The other class didn't and now as well that I wanted, but all is not lost I will get results that I will be happy with in that class soon. Long story short there is nothing wrong with a C and an I now and then.

To conclude on the medical front my back is no longer in pain and I am thrilled. What started that whole ordeal me going my lower back muscles out of whack again , and then the cyst doing what it did. And like I may have mentioned, on the seventh my stitches had a chance to come out this week. So I now have no severe medical issues to worry about as of today. I am now doing some investigating in what I can do physically to take better care of myself.

I am not calling this a new years resolution because when most people do things like that they break them before Valentine's Day, almost every time. this is just a guy who is sick and tired of being sick and tired, exhausted, and having to deal with acid reflux disease. PS I'm not going to become a bodybuilder or a professional wrestler, and definitely not a health fanatic. After all I am still a lover of food and they do say everything in moderation right?

Slacker radio!

I have discovered slacker radio online. This blows xm radio and serious, live 365 , and in my opinion most of the rest of Internet radio out there today. As far as audio quality, the cost, a customization that one can do. You just log on tell the site which you want to hear and you hear it. It's that simple, so far the free version is working out fine.

If you wanted the higher paid version because there are too paid versions, the cost would still be cheaper than XM/serious is and again a lot better audio quality. It appears that dropping the XM online radio account, at $156 a year will pay for my two six months subscriptions to world of war craft. I can definitely deal with that, if I wanted to pay for the slacker account that is still cheaper than the XM online account. I cannot say enough slacker radio online has superb audio, is customizable to one's taste much more than the rest of them appear to be.
